Baby hippo photobombs couple's proposal

This is the adorable moment a baby hippopotamus photobombed a couple’s proposal.

Fiona the hippo was minding her own business when Nick Kelble got down on one knee right before her tank at Cincinnati Zoo.

While his fiancé, Hayley Roll, may have thought they were just there to celebrate their first anniversary, she had no idea of the viral sensation the day was about to become.

Fiona the hippo wanted in on the action and at the exact moment Nick produced the ring, she pressed herself right up against the window.

What came after was a series of hilarious photos of the adorable hippo appearing to smile as Nick and Hayley’s proposal happened right behind her.

“We're so happy Fiona could be there on our special day. Here's to many more years of going to zoos with you,” Hayley wrote online.

Baby Fiona was born premature last year at the Cincinnati Zoo in Ohio.

She was taken away from her parents straight away so she could be given the vital care she needed.

Now she’s thriving and is back with her beloved family after six months.
