Meghan Markle shows off tell-tale engagement sign
They’re still holding out on officially confirming their engagement, but Meghan Markle has shown off one of the biggest signs she's going public with her happy news with Prince Harry his week.
The Suits star was spotted out in London last week, and it was her shopping buddies that raised eyebrows.
Accompanied by bodyguards from the Metropolitan Police's Protection Command, the Sunday Express reports it’s the first time royal protection officers, who are taxpayer funded, have been seen with Meghan.
If you need any more convincing, Kate Middleton showed off the same sort of protection after she became engaged to Prince William in 2010.
While Buckingham Palace has officially taken the line that they "would not give a running commentary on Harry's love life", royal watchers say the engagement news could come as soon as Tuesday.
Tellingly, Prince William and Prince Charles both announced their engagement news on that day too.
With Meghan also reportedly being briefed on security measures such as what to do if she’s taken hostage, all signs point to the couple already being engaged and simply biding their time until they make it public.
British bookmakers have already suspended bets on the couple's engagement announcement.
"We believe the happy couple are already engaged and possible have been for some time," a spokesperson from betting agency William Hill said in a statement.
