Fans declare Lisa Wilkinson has gone from a '9 to a 10'
Lisa Wilkinson made her highly anticipated debut on The Project last night.
But it seems the esteemed journalist and television host couldn't resist taking the chance to show her former employer what they were missing, as she revealed fans had declared she'd gone "from a 9 to a 10."
"It is so good to be here," Lisa, 58, said. "My apologies, it's taken me about four years by my calculation to finally get here, but I am here."
After the panel joked about how long it had taken her to take her seat at the iconic news desk, Lisa thanked fans for their support, in particular one who had taken the time to praise her decision to leave the Today Show after ten years.
"People have been so nice to me," Lisa gushed. "Everybody felt so warmly about the fact I was joining The Project. This is a a show that is absolutely loved."
"One of the nicest things people said to me, someone stopped me in the street and said, 'Lisa you're going from a 9 to a 10.'
After her triumphant return to TV, fans took to social media to throw their support behind Lisa too.
If there’s one thing her first appearance on @theprojecttv confirms, it’s just how good a presenter @Lisa_Wilkinson is. Killing it.

Lisa announced she was joining Ten just 24 hours after departing her prestigious stint at Nine over what is rumoured to be a gender pay row.
She will also be heading up the network's new website, set to launch later in 2018.
Despite the controversy around her exit, she has remained friends with her former co-host Karl Stefanovic.
