Liz Hurley's $11 million home burgled while she was inside

Elizabeth Hurley is said to have been left reeling after her $11 million home got broken into while she was inside.

The actress and swimsuit designer was hosting a dinner party when thieves snuck into her house via an upstairs window, according to reports.

Her jewellery collection was raided and the people responsible have yet to be caught.

Shaken by the ordeal, Liz is reportedly doubling down on her home security.

“Liz was very upset by this but has done the sensible thing and increased security,” an insider tells The Sun.

“She has CCTV, sensors and on-site guards. The place is now like Fort Knox. The house is surrounded by its own grounds with entry via locked gates and a long drive.”

The 52-year-old has been putting on a brave face on her Instagram account and has yet to speak publicly about the ordeal.

It comes just as season four of her TV series The Royals, is about to wrap up. She posted a sweet photo of herself with son Damien, who also appears on the show, and co-star Tom Austen, watching the penultimate episode.
