The Love Island moment too racy to air

Love Island has been slammed for being too racy, but viewers may be shocked to discover we’re barely seeing any of it.

Latest evictee Kim Hartnett has spilled on all the bedroom action going on inside the villa, revealing that while couples are “100 per cent” having sex in the house, the raunchy footage isn’t making it to air.

But one couple in particular’s night of passion stood out for her, because the rest of the house — who all share one bedroom — were “sitting up and watching”.

“I think the first night they did it they full-on had an audience, everyone was sitting up and watching them,” she told News.com.au.

“Then it just got to the point where you were used to it. It was kind of like a bedtime lullaby, if they didn’t do it you’d be like, ‘what’s going on?’” she said.

One of the hottest moments to date has been Grant and Tayla making out in the bathroom, but it seems this is barely scratching the surface of the antics happening in the house. Source: Nine

While she didn’t name the love birds who shared this very public display of affection, she said it’s “pretty obvious” who it was.

Earlier this week viewers saw Eden and Erin become the first couple to be given access to the hideaway, a private room kitted out with a giant bed and set with romantic mood lighting, only for the camera to cut as things heated up.

Fans took to social media to complain, saying the Australian version was too “tame” compared to it’s British counterpart where the show originates.

“Eden and Erin’s moment in the hideaway was so tame,” one fan wrote on Facebook. “It’s so boring compared to the UK.”

While another said, “loving the Aussie Love Island but where is all the action?”

Despite fans pleas to see more of the X-rated footage being shot over in Mallorca, Spain, a spokesperson for Channel Nine told TV week the clips are “strictly off limits” because of strict television guidelines.

Love Island Australia airs on 9NOW and 9GO Sunday to Thursday at 8.30pm
