Love Island's Grant and Tayla have split
Love Island’s Grant Crapp and Tayla Damir have split — just two weeks after winning the $50k prize for finding love in the Spanish villa.
Tayla, 21, has revealed that they’ve broken up due to trust issues, after her new man confessed to having a secret girlfriend when he started the reality dating show.
“Obviously I’m heartbroken, it was a big shock to the system,” the model told The Fix, adding it was her decision to end the relationship.
“I still respect him as a person and I just think he’s young and he’s made a massively bad decision, and didn’t really think of the consequences that maybe a girl would have fallen in love with him, which just happened to be me.
Earlier this week Grant finally came clean about the rumours he had a girlfriend outside of the show, admitting they were true.
The pair discussed the revelation on KIIS FM’s Kyle and Jackie O Show on Monday, where Tayla said she’d considered dumping him after finding out.
“It went though my mind, for sure,” the 21-year-old told KIIS FM’s Kyle and Jackie O show on Monday morning.
Despite her heartache, Tayla said she hoped he would “learn through this experience” and hopefully not make the same mistake again.
The pair had a rocky start to their relationship, after Grant ditched fellow Islander Cassidy to couple up with Tayla.
However the pair clearly won viewers over as we witnessed their love blossom, with the electrician even ‘proposing’ to Tayla when making their romance official.
