Is this the most controversial twist in Love Island history?
A Love Island “couple” is no more after Monday’s shock re-coupling ceremony.
Cassidy shook the entire villa by essentially stealing Grant from Tayla, getting her own back from the beginning of the season.
It seems that the blonde beauty heard about Grant’s reservations about her and used that to choose him.
“I would like to couple up with this boy tonight because we started off and got to know each other really well but unfortunately somewhere along the line things went pear shaped and he now thinks that I’m not here for genuine reasons,” she said.
“So I would love the opportunity to prove to him that I am here for genuine reasons and to spend some time with him. So the boy that I would like to couple up with tonight is Grant.”
Tayla immediately muttered, “You’re f***ed,” and then, being the lady she is, later referred to Cassidy as a “piece of dog s***” and a “snake”.
“She’s doing it to be spiteful and wants to split us up,” Tayla said.
“It’s not going to work. If anything it’ll probably bring us closer together, so good luck to her. She’s actually a disgusting girl and I don’t want anything to do with her.”
Cassidy on the other hand seemed pretty pleased with herself.
“They now know what it’s like to be blindsided.”
Ouch.
