Now it seems he may have competition, as Mad Men actor Jon Hamm apparently has his eyes set on the role.
According to Radar Online, the 46-year-old is very keen make the Batmobile his own.
"Jon's gunning hard for the role," a source told the outlet.
The insider insists it's simply "business" for Jon and "not personal".

The pair are actually old pals having starred together on This Town back in 2010, but it seems that doesn't mean each other's roles are off limits.
Jon is apparently aware of "some criticism" Ben has received after starring in Batman v Superman and Justice League.
The source told the outlet Jon "thinks he'd be better suited for the job".
The Baby Driver actor has also been "carefully courting" the director of the upcoming blockbuster The Batman, Matt Reeves, for a few months.
It seems when it comes to the role of Batman no one is Joker-ing about.
