Madonna's daughter Lourdes Leon makes runway debut in shell bra

Though she’s no stranger to the FROW, Madonna’s oldest daughter, Lourdes Leon, made her runway debut at New York Fashion Week on Tuesday.

As models clomped down the runway at Gypsy Sport’s Spring 2019 show in ultra-chunky sneakers and palm leaf headpieces, audience members spotted a familiar face on the catwalk.

Lourdes — whose father is actor Carlos Leon — hit the runway in a shell-emblazoned chain bra draped over her chest. The bold look was finished with a pair of shredded, hip-grazing jeans with black underwear peeking out above the waistband.

Her foray into the fashion sphere is hardly surprising.

Lourdes has accompanied Madonna to a number of shows in recent years and was last spotted in the front row at Alexander Wang’s Spring 2017 event. She’s also heavily involved in her mother’s clothing line, Material Girl.

Perhaps most important, she’s a close friend of Gypsy Sport’s founder, Rio Uribe. According to the designer, Lourdes was the one to ask if she could walk.

With one major runway moment caught on camera, this could spell the beginning of a career within the industry. And Lourdes would be in good company, with the likes of fellow A-list kids Kaia Gerber and Hailey Baldwin carving their own fashion footprint this season.
