MAFS' Troy Delmege slammed for 'disgusting' video
He definitely made a name for himself for his unique antics on Married At First Sight.
But now Troy Delmege has come under fire for a recent Instagram story video he posted.
The 35-year-old shared his excitement about going on holiday to Bali with girlfriend Carly Bowyer, but it was his comment about Carly getting a tan which sparked outrage.
“I’m going to be dark, she’ll be darker,” Troy said. “Like an Aborigine!”
One follower took to Troy’s latest Instagram photo to brand the MAFS star as “disgusting” calling him out on his actions.
“Actually so disgusting in the language you have used in your previous Instagram video. ‘As dark/black as an Aborigine.’ Excuse me? Thought you’d set a better example and so would your partner but you’re just as bad as each other,” they wrote. “Laughing and carrying on. Disgusting, appalling racist behaviour.”
The video – which has since been deleted – was also posted on Twitter by Indigenous activist Tarneen Onus-Williams.
“The fact he’s laughing about being Aboriginal is disgusting,” she tweeted.

Many others replied to Tarneen’s post in agreement.
Troy was at the centre of attention on this year’s season of MAFS from his eccentric teeth-brushing, to his massaging skills, to his kissing techniques.
He was originally paired with Ashley Irvin, but things between the pair did not work out and he secretly moved on with Carly, who was originally paired with Justin Fischer.
The couple went public with their romance on the show’s finale.
