The major royal tradition broken with Princess Charlotte at wedding
Princess Charlotte stole the show at her godmother Sophie Carter’s wedding to Robert Snuggs over the weekend, as the three-year-old royal acted as flower girl.
But it appears a major royal tradition was broken with Charlotte.
It went unnoticed, until eagle-eyed royal fans noticed the princess was being held by someone other than her parents.

Charlotte was being cradled by the bride, Sophie, but none of the Cambridge children – including Prince George, 5, and newborn Prince Louis – have ever been seen in public other than in the arms of their parents, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, or their nanny.
At public engagements Prince George is normally seen held by his father, William, and Charlotte is often with her mother, Kate.
Five-month-old Prince Louis has not been seen at many public engagements apart from his christening, where he was cradled in the arms of Kate the whole time.
Despite this apparent tradition of the Cambridge family, it doesn’t seem to have bothered little Charlotte in the slightest as looked happy, cuddling up to her godmother.
