The housing market is one tough game, and now a man is willing to PAY the buyer of his home a great sum, to ensure they preserve certain aspects of the property.
Sydney's Hugh Miller will pay $25,000 to whoever buys his three-bedroom Lane Cove house, reports Domain, on the condition that the bathroom stays just as it is... PINK.
An image of the bathroom shows that indeed the walls, floor, and tiling of all facilities are coloured pink, with the exception of a pale blue sink and bath tub.
Hugh has maintained the bathroom's unique look upon acquiring it in 2013, and wants to make sure this continues for the next five years.
According to Domain, the homeowner has asked his lawyer to write in a clause which states that $25,000 will be paid "provided that the bathroom has not changed in any way".
Minor adjustments can be made though, such as changes "to the shower screen, electrical wiring and grouting".
"I’d like to reward the buyer for not destroying this unique piece of cultural significance to the Australian suburban landscape," Hugh is quoted as saying.
So, any takers?
