Manu Feildel on his wedding- and inviting Pete Evans
They work alongside each other on Australia's smash-hit cooking show My Kitchen Rules, and are famously the best of friends.
But Manu Feildel has affectionately revealed his longtime co-star Pete Evans wasn't at his romantic wedding to Clarissa Weerasena last week, because the intimate ceremony was limited to a tiny handful of guests.
Speaking on radio, the celebrity chef was asked if his co-host was at the small ceremony that had just 20 guests.
"No," Manu said when asked by Grant Denyer, co-host of 2DayFM's breakfast show with Em, Grant & Ed,
But there's no bad blood between the pair, In fact, far from it.
Earlier Pete, 44, had joked on Sunrise that he had cooked for the happy couple on their big day.
He's also recently described their bond as 'like brothers'
.
"When we get together we're like brothers," Pete told New Zealand outlet Stuff.
"It's a very easy relationship to pick back up. We have great respect for each other."
News of the French chef Manu's wedding was announced today in New Idea, alongside a revealing interview and their adorable wedding snaps.
"Of course I cried but it was happiness, not nerves," Manu told the publication about his emotions on the day.
"I could not hold onto my feelings. I'm a big, soft bear!"
He went on to describe the ceremony as "a long time coming."
He and Clariss had been engaged for four years but put their wedding plans on hold after they welcomed their daughter Charlee, three.
Manu's 13-year-old son Jonti, was a groomsman and his little Charlee was a flower girl.
