Mark Philippoussis and wife Silvana welcome a baby girl

Mark Philippoussis and his wife Silvana have welcomed their second child.

Model mum Silvana gave birth to a baby girl on Sunday, with former tennis champ Mark sharing the happy news on Instagram a couple of days later.

“So incredibly happy, grateful and blessed to announce the birth of our little girl Maia Maria Philippoussis, born August 12th at 9:05pm, weighing 6.9lbs,” he gushed alongside a photo of his newly expanded family.

The couple already share four-year-old son Nicholas, and congratulations have been flowing in for the family.

Just yesterday, Silvana shared a gorgeous photo of herself playing with Nicholas along with a sweet poem about spending precious moments with your children.

“Take time to tickle, To kiss and to hug; Take time to giggle, To talk and to love. Perhaps there’s a lot, That needs done today, But take just a minute, To stop and to play…” it read.

The couple’s baby joy comes after they were shocked by allegations of child molestation that were made against Mark’s tennis coach father Nick Philippoussis, last year.

Nick, 68, was arrested in his San Diego home last year, and later suffered a massive stroke in prison.

While he’s now said to be bed-ridden and unresponsive, the case against him has not been dismissed following opposition from the families of the two nine-year-old girls he is alleged to have molested.
