There’s no doubt it’s been a slow burn for Meghan Markle and Prince Harry’s relationship.
After over a year of secret visits and keeping their romance extremely private as they figured out their true feelings, the couple have looked completely head over heels as they've publicly kissed and cuddled for the whole world to see at the Invictus Games in Toronto.
Now insiders say Prince Harry has really taken his foot off the relationship brakes, with reports the couple are “all but engaged”.
While royal watchers still have their eyes plastered on the Suits star’s ring finger for the first sight of engagement bling, friends of the couple say they’ve already begun planning for the big occasion.
“They've spoken about their marriage plans openly with each other and friends and family around them are pretty much thinking about wedding attire already,” a source told The Express.
It’s been a whirlwind few weeks that’s not only seen Prince Harry and Meghan go very public with their affection for one another, but the royal being seen with the actress’ family as well.
In a sign they’ve firmly become entrenched in one another’s lives, Prince Harry was seen chatting closely with Meghan’s mum, Doria Ragland, as they attended the closing ceremony of the Invictus Games over the weekend.
Sources say Harry and Doria actually met late last year, with Prince Harry more than winning over his future mother-in-law.
“Doria sees Harry as one of the family and he sees her like family too.”
Royal watchers take note: even though Meghan isn't wearing an engagement ring, that doesn't mean Harry hasn't popped the question.
Harry's brother Prince William popped the question to Kate Middleton back in October 2010, but the couple waited a month before they announced it to the world. In that time, Kate was seen at a society wedding without her brand new ring.
