Meghan Markle’s mum makes life-changing decision before wedding

She’s the beloved mum Meghan Markle calls a “free spirit” and her “best friend”, and Doria Ragland has proved just how inspirational she is by making a huge decision just before her daughter walks down the aisle with a prince.

For Doria, who has remained steadfastly silent and supportive of her daughter during her high-profile romance, life hasn’t appeared to change too much as she’s dealt with the increased attention.

However as Doria is snapped arriving in London from LA and immediately being driven to spend quality time with Meghan and Prince Harry, it turns out the yoga instructor and social worker has some big news of her own.

While Meghan is no doubt trying to deal with the drama surrounding her dad Thomas Markle pulling out of the wedding at the last minute, and her step-sister Samantha Markle hospitalised after a car crash, Doria has some good news to share with her daughter.

Reports claim Doria has left her job at Didi Hirsch Mental Health Services – but there’s a very good reason why.

“Doria is no longer working at the mental health clinic in the Los Angeles area. It was Doria’s decision to leave,” a source told Us Weekly.

“She has talked about starting her own private practice, focusing on working with elderly patients.”

Doria’s newfound freedom means she has a clear schedule, allowing her to be by her daughter’s side following the wedding.

Meghan and Harry have been forced to postpone their honeymoon thanks to a planned royal engagement on May 22, just three days after the wedding, and it could prove to be just the thing the former Suits star needs to de-stress after the last few tumultuous days.

Just like us, it looks like Meghan can’t live without her mum…
