Melania Trump mocked for her attempt to encourage students
As kids prepare for a new school year in America, Melania Trump thought she’d put up an encouraging message on Twitter.
She asked students to think about their goals for the year ahead, but despite her good intentions, the post backfired, and followers instead took a swipe at her and her relationship with Donald Trump.
“Students– as you head #BacktoSchool, think about what you wish to accomplish this year,” Melania posted.
“You have so much power in your individual voices. Will you strive to #BeBest?” she said, referencing her “Be Best” campaign that aims to improve the lives of children.

Melania instead copped a large majority of people mocking her by saying their main goal this year was the removal of her husband, Donald Trump, from his presidential position in the White House.
This year I want to see the president removed from office!

How about having your husband be a good example instead of how to be a bully to children!

Some people even replied suggesting the First Lady should take on board her own words of advice and speak out against her husband for his questionable actions.
How about you speaking out against the lies and bullying that come from the highest office in the land.

As my kid heads #BacktoSchool , @FLOTUS , I would just like her to not get shot. Or for me to have to worry about that. #BeBest

While others simply mocked the name of her campaign BeBest implying that it should really say, ‘Be your Best’:
Can someone PLEASE change this slogan. The grammar is terrible. #BeBest 🤔

I’ll translate! “Be your best!” You see, she’s not required to learn English. That’s only required by Hispanics.

Be best is really a ridiculous saying. I think you should work on you husband before you try to lead our children. You do not practice what you preach.

Either way, it’s fair to say this wasn’t the reaction Melania was hoping for with her thought-provoking post.
