Melania and Donald Trump have a famously prickly relationship, with the pair frequently spotted shunning each other's touch.

And now Melania has once again given her husband a very public brush-off.

The US President and First Lady were visiting Florida to meet survivors of last week's horrific Valentine's Day school shooting that left 17 high-school students dead.

As they disembarked the steps of Air Force One, Donald reached for his wife's hand.

But instead of showing solidarity as a couple in the face of tragedy, Melania completely ignored her husband.

Donald went on to briefly put his arm behind Melania's back as they walked to a waiting car, but the pair did not share a word.

The cringeworthy moment came just hours after former Playboy model Karen McDougal claimed she and Donald had a sexual relationship in 2006.

The alleged affair would have taken place mere months after Melania gave birth to their son, Barron, 11.
