Melania Trump a virtual prisoner in the White House
She recently spent time with Melania Trump during a three-day visit to the White House, and now French first lady Brigitte Macron has publicly revealed how sorry she feels for her US counterpart in a telling interview.
Wife to French President Emmanuel Macron, Bridgette, has spilled the beans on what really happens behind closed doors, claiming Melania “cannot do anything”.
“She can’t even open a window at the White House,” Brigitte told Le Monde.
“She can’t stick her nose outside. She’s much more constrained than I am. Me, every day, I’m out in Paris.”
While 65-year-old Brigitte – who has been married to Emmanuel, 40, for 11 years – has steadfastly refused to give up her independence, she’s hinted Melania has struggled with first lady life.
With media scrutiny at an all-time high following reports of Donald’s alleged affairs with adult actress Stormy Daniels, and former Playboy model Karen McDougal, Brigitte explains there’s a hidden side to the US FLOTUS.
Clearly getting along with Melania, Brigitte explains how the “kind, charming, intelligent and very open” Melania puts on a very different persona to the world.
“She’s a woman with a lot of character but tries to hide it,” the French first lady told the publication.
“She laughs very easily about everything but shows it less than I do.”
