My Kitchen Rules has smashed its competitor's TV ratings, with the premiere of its eighth season coming out on top over Nine’s Married At First Sight and Ten's I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here!
Channel Seven’s popular cooking series, featuring celebrity chefs Manu Feildel and Pete Evans, was the most watched show, attracting 1.31 million viewers according to figures released by OzTam.
MKR dominated the other channels’ reality TV shows, with Nine attracting 820,000 MAFS viewers and Channel 10's I'm A Celebrity... getting 959,000 viewers.
While Ten's I'm A Celebrity... premiered on Sunday with 1.103 million viewers, their ratings slipped to 959,000 viewers last night with competition from MKR despite introducing two new celebrities, Tziporah Malkah (former model Kate Fisher) and male model Kris Smith (Danni Minogue's ex.)
Overall, Seven slayed in the ratings war, winning every time slot from 5pm thanks to The Chase Australia (631,000), Seven News (1.14 million), Home and Away (878,000), MKR (1.31 million) and Bride and Prejudice (874,000).
MKR, MAFS and I'm A Celebrity... will all continue to battle it out at 7.30pm tonight.
