The moment Harry tells Meghan to curtsy to the Queen

It was Meghan Markle’s first time appearing on the royal balcony at Buckingham Palace over the weekend, and her new husband Prince Harry made sure she didn’t put one foot wrong.

The pair were standing right behind Kate Middleton and Prince William during the Trooping of the Colour on Saturday, with the 36-year-old Duchess of Sussex looking stunning in a blush pink Carolina Herrera dress and matching fascinator by Philip Tracey.

However, it appears Meghan is still getting used to royal protocol, and in the video above she can be seen asking 33-year-old Harry whether or not it’s time to curtsy to the Queen.

As the queen passes by, Meghan looks straight ahead and smiles, while mouthing ‘do it?’ to Prince Harry.

He bows his head and says ‘yes’ before Meghan can be seen curtsying to Her Majesty, alongside sister-in-law Kate.

The cute moment was captured by the BBC and uploaded online by numerous royal fans, who were thrilled to see the newlyweds for the first time since they returned from their honeymoon.

Meghan has no doubt learned the royal etiquette rules from watching the royal family over the past few months.

“She will learn from the other members of the royal family, which will be following them round, and copying the way they do things,” former butler Grant Harrold told Yahoo UK.

“She’s got a wonderful sister-in-law for this, and of course the Queen, because the Queen is the perfect member of the family to follow.”

The former actress will no doubt be put through the ropes when she makes her first solo royal appearance with the Queen this week in Chester.

The pair are expected to travel on the royal train overnight, before arriving in Chester on Thursday.
