Jennifer Lawrence had a very simple message for all the haters of her new film 'mother!' at its latest screening in New York on Thursday.
Sat alongside director boyfriend Darren Aronofsky, JLaw stuck her middle finger up at all her critics during the subsequent Q&A session at the Academy event.
The actress and her partner seemed to be in high spirits despite a surge of damning reviews for the film that included the dreaded F rating from audience polling service CinemaScore.
And in a defiant mood, the pair laughed off the film's criticism as Lawrence flipped the bird to a stunned audience.
The 27-year-old actress features alongside stars Javier Bardem and Ed Harris in the film but the new release has so far had mixed reviews.
“We knew it was going to be polarizing,” Lawrence told reporters at the Toronto International Film Festival.
“So it’s just hilarious to see, you know, the people who love it, love it and they think it’s amazing and they get it. And then the people who don’t like it, absolutely despise it.”
“There’s no in between,” she added.
Lawrence wowed the audience in a floral, black maxi dress while Aronofsky opted for a casual buttoned shirt and jeans.
