Moulin Rouge are looking for Aussie dancers

Moulin Rouge! fans brace yourselves, because the iconic Parisian cabaret is hosting castings across Australia this winter.

If you’ve ever thought you can can-can, this is your chance to shine as the world’s most famous dance show is looking right on our doorstep for up and coming performers.

Follow in the footsteps of Nicole Kidman, who fronted the cult 2001 movie alongside Ewan McGregor, and show them your inner Lady Marmalade for a chance to star in their current show ‘Féerie’.

You’ll be judged under the expert eyes of Moulin Rogue’s artistic director Janet Pharaoh and resident choreographer Erik Sorensen, so Come What May you know you’ll be in great hands.

The lucky few chosen to perform on the stage of the famous cabaret, which has been illuminating Paris since 1889, will have to travel to France for their sweet new gig.

Sadly there are a few restrictions on those thinking they can join the Rhythm Of The Night, including being a minimum of 175cms tall for the ladies and 186cms for the gents.

If you make the extremely limited cut, you’ll be joining the ranks of Lisa Curry’s daughter, Morgan Kenny, who in 2010 joined the famous troupe to perform twice a night for 12 months.

Next year is the cabarets 130th anniversary and they’ve not calmed down on the well known dazzle since day one.
