Mum's genius hack for keeping her baby asleep goes viral

If you’ve ever struggled for hours to get your kid to sleep and then mere minutes later they wake up crying for their dummy, then this hack is for you.

Essex mother, Laura Gerson took to Facebook to reveal her awesome trick for keeping her 11-month-old daughter in the land of slumber in her cot night after night.

Laura claims that since she discovered the genius move, she hasn’t had to resettle her daughter for the past eight months.

"Since my little one was about 3-months-old she's gone to bed with roughly 10 dummies in with her,” Laura started the post, which she wrote on The Motherload Facebook page.

“Found that when she cried of a night all she wanted was a dummy then she'd go back off.

“Realised that if she had one to hand then she would just find it of a night, trial and error with her losing a few down the side but 99% of the time she feels around, finds a dummy, sticks it in and she's sorted.

“Haven't had to go into her of a night for about 8 months now... WINNING!!”

Mum’s immediately flocked to the post to praise the mum for thinking of the genius idea.

“Why did I not think of this?,” one woman said.

“My little one loves his dummy and I am always getting up to put it back in.”

Another person said she also does the dummy trick with her child at night, but uses light up ones so they’re easier to see.

And while Laura now has a great way of keeping her daughter asleep, she claims she doesn’t “even wanna think about the time when the ‘Dummy Fairy’ comes to take them away”.
