When My Kitchen Rules contestant Bettina "Betty" Banks isn't wearing her apron, she's busy posing up a storm in the latest fashion and swimwear trends online.

The 27-year-old Sydneysider flaunts over 41,000 Instagram followers, and as she described on last night's debut MKR episode, she's a "social media influencer".

Her social media pages display an array of stunning snaps, in which she reveals her love of passion, fitness and healthy living.

From stylish dresses to beautiful bikinis, luxurious lingerie and fun fitness wear, the reality show contestant proves she's a multifaceted online sensation, with interests extending beyond the kitchen.

Despite what people may say, Betty has no problem with flashing the flesh.

Just last week, she decided to hit back at the haters online, and make her stance very clear before My Kitchen Rules kicked off.

She wrote: "I get SLAMMED all the time for 'showing too much skin'. But isn't it my body? So, IT'S MY RULES. There's nothing wrong with being confident with showing some skin. Nothing wrong with SELF LOVE (sic)".

Attached was a photo of her in a black and white crop top and matching leggings.

Betty made her My Kitchen Rules debut last night with best friend David.

“We’re like brother and sister and we’re going to stand up for each other no matter what happens,” says 32-year-old David.

The pair’s competitive advantage is also their cultural expertise, which they hope to demonstrate through their cooking.

David’s family came to Australia on a boat from Vietnam, while Betty’s family are from Laos.

“We’re cooking food our mama’s have taught us, that we’ve grown up with, that we love to eat, so hopefully we’re serving up something they’re not expecting or haven’t tried before,” says David.
