Do you 'want the fairy tale?' Hotel offers "Pretty Woman" package

If you’re a fan of “Pretty Woman,” missing this would be a big mistake... huge.

The classic Julia Roberts/Richard Gere romantic comedy marks its 25th anniversary this year. To celebrate, the Beverly Wilshire Hotel in Beverly Hills, where the movie was filmed, is offering a super-glamorous “Pretty Woman for a Day" package.

But it’s going to cost you, as Richard Gere’s character would say, “an obscene amount of money.” For the $100,000 ultimate package, you get to stay in the hotel’s “Pretty Woman” Suite - aka the 4,000 square-foot Presidential Suite. You also get a personal shopping consultation, plus a $3,000 shopping allowance, on Rodeo Drive, where there won’t be any snooty store clerks foolish enough to turn you away (they’ve seen the movie too).

Your expensive “Pretty Woman” recreation continues with a Rolls-Royce-driven trek to Greystone Mansion for a romantic “shoeless” picnic, just like the one in the movie.

Of course, no “Pretty Woman” date would be complete without a night at the opera. Part of the package is an evening at the LA Opera or the new Wallis Annenberg Center for the Performing Arts. You can also have your picture taken at various locales throughout the hotel that you’ll recognise from the movie.

If you don’t want to shell out one-hundred large for a movie experience, there are cheaper packages too. For $15,000 you get accommodations in the Deluxe Beverly Suite and a personal shopper for two hours on Rodeo Drive. For $22,500 you can upgrade to the Veranda Suite, plus you get an additional hour of personal shopping and a $1,000-per person clothing allowance.

Sadly, not every “Pretty Woman” experience is included in the Beverly Wilshire’s package. There is no polo match and, sadly, no ride in a sweet Lotus Esprit. Plus, the hotel would probably ask you not to make sexy time in their ballroom.

Still, it’s the ultimate romantic getaway for “Pretty Woman” fans - and for couples who want to indulge their corporate trader/Hollywood prostitute fantasies!
