Nikki Bella's guilt over breaking up with John Cena

In the season finale of Total Bellas, viewers saw just how much Nikki Bella struggled with guilt after officially breaking up with John Cena just weeks before their wedding.

The reason 34-year-old Nikki gave for the split was that she needed time to work on herself but fighting back tears she says she feels terrible for letting their fans down.

“It’s like you don’t want to let your fans down, and everyone’s fairy tale was John and I getting married, like, Superman and Wonder Woman finally found each other and this is everyone’s happily ever after,” she said.

Bella felt bad about disappointing her fans but even worse about disappointing John.

“John deserves so much more than what I’m giving him right now,” she admitted.

“It just sucks,” she said during the episode.

“I wish it could be different and I think that’s why I’ve had almost six years of working on us and fighting and just taking in a lot. I just feel like I’ve hit the point that I’m just so exhausted and done.”

Even though it appears to be the end of the road for John and Bella, the former Diva of the Year left the door open for a rematch with him in the wedding ring.

She said, “When I heal myself and figure out what’s wrong with me, like, he will be there, and if he’s not, then it wasn’t meant to be.”
