She made headlines earlier this year, not only by going public with her pregnancy, but by confirming she was going it alone.
Refusing to name the father, Laura Csorton bravely revealed that she don’t need no man to take care of her, thank you very much.
But with the baby’s birth just around the corner, the former Getaway presenter admits being a single mum wasn’t an easy choice to make.
“It was a very tough decision but one I took on whole heartedly,” she shared in a blog post for Poppy Renegade.
“Absolutely the hardest thing I’ve ever done and I haven’t even had the baby yet!
“It’s not been without fear and struggles, I’m not pretending it’s going to be a walk in the park, but it’s the card I’ve been dealt so I shall do my best to bring a child into the world who is ultimately loved like crazy.”
Good on you girl!
The presenter suffered intense sickness throughout her pregnancy, and admits she’s worried about everything from sleep deprivation through to her new identity as a mum.
“Am I going to be able to be a great mum and still have a life?” she questions. “How will I cope with little to no sleep? How will I be able to support myself and my baby? What will I do for work now I can’t just get up and go? The list goes on...taking it day by day is the only way I can comprehend right now.”
But while she does admit that going public made her ‘nervous’ about how she’s be ‘perceived’, with her 40th birthday just around the corner, Laura insists she’s got ‘no regrets’ about how life’s turned out.
“Everything I’ve done and the decisions I have made, be them good or bad, have brought me to this point in my life, a life in which I'm about to give birth to a daughter… everything else pales in comparison.”
