Olivia Newton-John 'won't watch' biopic of her life starring Delta Goodrem
Olivia Newton-John’s life has been anything but ordinary.
So much so, a new biopic on her life is set to be released on Channel Seven later this year.
However, the TV movie, starring Delta Goodrem, isn’t sitting so well with Olivia.
The 69-year-old admitted she “probably won’t watch” the film when it premieres.
“When they told me they were doing it, I was horrified,” she told Australian Women’s Weekly in a recent interview.
The Grease actress admitted she was concerned for those close to her who will also star as characters in the film.
“I worry about the people in my life,” Olivia said. “It’s not their fault they were married to me or were my boyfriend, so I didn’t want it to happen.”
However, she soon realised the film who go ahead whether she “wanted it to or not”.
Despite her reservations about the film, the singer insisted all profits from the film be donated to her hospital in based in Melbourne, the Olivia Newton-John Cancer Wellness & Research Centre.
Olivia was also thrilled it was Delta playing her in the biopic, insisting she was a “good actress and a great singer”.
