Zoë Foster Blake rallies behind mum of boy who choked to death on a bouncy ball

Zoë Foster Blake has rallied behind the parents of three-year-old Alby Davis, who choked to death on a bouncy ball on Monday.

The mum-of-two posted a link to a GoFundMe page, which was set up to raise $100,000 for the devastated Tasmania family.

“The thought of my kids choking terrifies me, pretty much daily,” Zoë wrote on Twitter.

“For these parents, the Very Worst choking outcome occurred.

“Terribly sad, and way too close to home. Donate if you can.”

Little Alby was playing at home in Tasmania on Monday, when his parents decided to let him unwrap a ball as an early fourth birthday present.

Tragically, the ball became lodged in his windpipe and he died in his mother Anna’s arms, as she desperately tried to save him.

Anna took to her play store company, The Small Folk’s, Instagram page to pay tribute to her 'beautiful boy'.

“Yesterday afternoon, our beautiful, beautiful Alby, our darling baby boy, grew wings and flew from this earth,” she wrote.

“Minutes pass like hours and the gaping hole in our lives and hearts is completely incomprehensible.

“We adore you beyond belief, our sweet little fox. Forever three, forever free.”

A GoFundMe account was set up by a family friend, with the hope of raising $100,000 to help them out financially while they grieve.

“Darling Alby was playing with a bouncy ball that had arrived earlier that morning, in a package filled with party favours for his upcoming 4th birthday celebrations,” the page reads.

“The ball became stuck in his windpipe, preventing his ability to breathe, and in a matter of seconds, despite his mama's frantic attempts to save him, he passed away in her arms.”

The page has already surpassed its target, raising over $200,000.
