Mum slammed over son's birthday zombie cake photoshoot

A mum has come up against a wave of backlash after she organized a zombie cake smash for her son’s first birthday.

Amy Louise, who has over 20,000 followers on Instagram, claims she was removed from a Facebook mum’s group because there was such uproar over the photoshoot.

However, the mum didn’t care because with the help of photographer Amanda Queen, the photoshoot helped celebrate and remember the unusual story of how her son Phoenix’s came into the world.

“I was, in all honesty, slaughtered by these mothers - but they didn't know our story,” Amy Louise wrote for Kidspot.

Amy Louise was sure she had lost her baby when she gave birth on Halloween and saw doctors desperately trying to resuscitate him.

It took ten minutes before she realisde what the defeated looks on the doctors’ faces meant.

“Nine months of hell just to bury my son. I couldn't believe it,” she wrote.

As Amy Louise was trying to process what was happening, she suddenly heard a nurse scream that he had ‘come back’ and her baby son wasn’t lost after all.

It was four days before the new mum got to meet her precious boy for the first time and immediately called him her ‘zombie baby’.

So, when it came to celebrating his first birthday, Amy Louise went all out and organized the zombie cake smash for her little boy.

“I think a zombie themed cake smash for his first birthday was awesome, especially since P was born still and came back from the dead on Halloween,” she wrote on Instagram.
