Passenger slams outrageous sandwich served during flight

It’s not the cheapest place to buy food, so when you do decide to splurge on some food during a flight you expect it to be somewhat satisfying.

One angry passenger has taken to Twitter after the sandwich that he bought during a flight from Melbourne to Brisbane definitely fell short, thanks to its less-than-impressive amount of filling.

In a tweet that was posted by Australian Licensed Aircraft Engineers’ Association federal secretary Steve Purvinas, the sandwich was revealed in all its lackluster glory.

“Delicious roast beef sandwich enjoyed by a Qantas frequent flyer today,” he wrote. “Neil Perry, take your hat off.”

While Aussie chef Neil Perry is the Qantas Creative Director of Food and Beverage, the sandwich was actually provided by supplier Homemade Food Co.

Although it’s not clear whether Steve was the recipient of the sad-looking sandwich, which showed off a few tiny pieces of meat and a ridiculously high bread to filling ratio, the tweet saw other passengers share their own horror stories.
