Paul McCartney made James Corden cry

Paul McCartney made James Corden cry when they came together for a special edition of Carpool Karaoke that was filmed in the UK.

Beatles icon Paul showed The Late Late Show host around various Liverpool landmarks, including the church where he was a choirboy and his old barbershop.

But the best part was when the 76-year-old sang Let It Be and caused James become adorably emotional. See the special moment above.

“Ahh man, you got me emotional there Paul,” the dad-of-two said, as he wiped away tears from both eyes. “I could feel it coming, it’s too much for me.”

“It did, it did,” the legend replied.

While that epic moment was definitely a highlight for viewers, Paul appeared to enjoy returning to the home where he lived throughout his teenage years and, more importantly, where the Beatles got their start.

While in the house, he showed James where he and John Lennon would rehearse and write, and recounted the moment they finished writing, She Loves You.

He explained that after, that the two went into the next room to play the song for his father who had a rather hilarious response to the track.

“He listened to the whole song and said, ‘It’s very nice but, son, there’s enough of these Americanisms around. Couldn’t you sing she loves you yes, yes, yes?’ And we were, like, ‘No,'” Paul recalled.

Sir Paul also showed Corden his favorite spot in the house: the bathroom, which he called the “acoustic chamber,” because “everything sounds better in the bath.”

To wrap up their visit, Paul treated the current — and very lucky homeowner — to a private performance of When I’m Sixty-Four on her piano.

And when James asked him how it made him feel to be back in the house, the superstar said, “It makes me realise how long the journey’s been to date, because we really lived here.”

He went on to reveal that the house had inspired some of The Beatles most loved songs, such as Penny Lane and A Day in the Life.

It really is one of the best Carpool Karaoke editions ever, and that’s saying something as the segment has featured some of the world’s biggest stars including Justin Bieber, Adele and One Direction.
