People are losing it online over Melania Trump's hat

She may be married to one of the most talked about men on the planet but Melania Trump made sure all eyes were on her for their latest event together.

The 47-year-old First Lady sent the internet into a spin after she greeted French President Emmanuel Macron and his wife Lady Brigitte Macron at the White House in a massive white hat.

Melania beamed as she peered out from underneath the Hervé Pierre hat to give them both a welcoming peck on the cheek.

And while Melania undoubtedly looked flawless in the white wide-brimmed hat, which she matched with a $2,195 Michael Kors collection white skirt suit, people online couldn’t help turning her into a meme.

Most Twitter users couldn’t get over how similar Melania’s ensemble was to Beyonce’s outft in her ‘Formation’ music video and others compared her unusual hat to the one Olivia Pope wore.

During the same event, Melania was also caught on camera trying to wriggle her hands away from her husband as he reached out to hold hers.

In footage from the event, Melania can be seen standing stony-faced beside her husband, Donald Trump, while he tries to grab hold of her fingers.

However, she’s having none of it and later is even caught letting go again as he tried to walk alongside her.
