Torpedo-shaped 'UFO' snapped by fisherman

A man has snapped a bizarre photo of a torpedo-shaped object flying through the sky while he was on a fishing trip.

The photo, which has been sent to the US-based Mutual UFO Network for investigation, was taken at Nelson ledges state park in Garrettsville, Ohio.

While it was captured in 2011, it has only now been sent to MUFON by the fisherman’s son, The Express reports.

In his report, he said his dad had decided to take a few snaps as memories while they were on the trip.

But he didn’t realise there was something odd until he looked at the pictures later.

“My guess is whatever it was had to be moving really fast and was caught on film at the right moment,” he said.

MUFON is the world's largest organisation dedicated to UFO and alien research and it keeps a global database of sightings, many of which are investigated.

But on their website they do concede they get sent a large amount of hoax material.

However, Scott Brando, who runs debunking website Ufoofinterest.org doesn’t think this image is a hoax but didn't think it was aliens either.
