They’re the most famous couple on the planet right now, but that hasn’t meant Meghan Markle and Prince Harry have lost all touch with reality.

The couple have reportedly left their Kensington Palace home to jet off to the south of France for a relaxing getaway.

And to the surprise of many who shared the flight with them, the couple were seen sitting in cattle class.

According to the Daily Mail, Harry and his Suits star love were whisked straight to the back of a British Airways plane and sat right beside the rear toilets.

They were the first people to board the Nice-bound flight, and all the seats in the last three rows of the plane were left vacant for the pair, who were said to be accompanied by three bodyguards.

Passengers said that Meghan was wearing hardly any makeup and a beanie, while Harry was looking just as casual in jeans and a baseball cap, and sat in the window seat.

The lovebirds, who are set to tie the knot in four months-time, took the 9.55AM flight out of Heathrow on New Year’s Eve so they would arrive on the French Riviera in time for celebrations with friends.

Their trip comes after Meghan spent her first Christmas with the Windsors in Sandringham which was something of a break from usual royal protocol.

While it mightn't seem like anything out of the ordinary to spend time with your future husband's family, being part of the Christmas festivities with senior royal members is a privilege usually given to those who have married into the family.

In fact, Kate Middleton did not attend a Christmas at Sandringham until 2011, after she and Prince William had married, and eight years after they first started dating.

It’s believed the Queen made an exception for Meghan, who has already confirmed that she will be giving up her acting career to become a full-time royal, and according to Harry, she fit in like a natural.

Speaking to BBC4 radio, the fifth in line to the throne described Christmas day as, "fantastic" and said that Meghan "really enjoyed it."
