Prince Harry 'vetoed' a look Meghan Markle wanted to wear in Australia

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s upcoming trip to Australia in October may have us all excited but it seems like it may be causing some friction in the Kensington Palace household.

According to reports, 33-year-old Prince Harry has vetoed an outfit 36-year-old former Suits actress Meghan Markle wants to wear while she’s Down Under.

The Duchess is said to have a chic, Stella McCartney suit in mind for a formal evening reception, however the prince is reportedly adamant she sticks by royal rules and ‘stop dressing like a Hollywood star’.

“Meghan wanted to wear a tuxedo-style suit but Harry said it wasn’t traditional enough,” a source from a Kensington Palace fashion team told the Daily Mail.

Indeed, it wouldn’t be the first time Meghan was spotted looking stunning in a power suit.

The Duchess of Sussex wore a peg-leg black trouser suit when she visited a famine memorial in Ireland during the couple’s first official overseas visit together two weeks ago.

She also famously wore a tailored Alexander McQueen pant suit back in February at the Endeavour Fund Awards ceremony in London, before she married into the royal family.

However, now that she’s a fully-fledged royal, it’s believed Prince Harry has given the masculine-style suits a big thumbs down.

It comes just days after it was reported that the newest member of the royal family finds a lot of the rules archaic and difficult to adhere to.

A source revealed that she is reportedly “often asking Harry why things have to be done in a certain way.”

“I think she finds it a little frustrating at times,” the insider told People magazine.

“But this is her new life, and she has to deal with it.”
