Prince Harry: From royal rebel to people's prince

Despite the many faux pas he’s fallen victim to over the years, Prince Harry has remained one of the most loved members of the royal family of all time.

The fanfare surrounding his upcoming wedding to Meghan Markle, is testament to just how much the public care about the former ‘party prince’, and in this mini biography, author Katie Nicholl and royal expert Richard Fitzwilliams explain just why that is.

Katie, who recently published Harry: Life, Loss, and Love’ believes Harry’s extraordinary pulling power comes from the fact that in many ways, he’s just like the rest of us.

“He is ordinary, he does trip up, he falls out of nightclubs, he lashes out at the paparazzi, he gets drunk on occasions,” she says.

“He [once] said, ‘typical case of me being a bit too much army and not enough prince’ and I think he was absolutely right.”
