After 10 years together, he was the man Princess Beatrice thought she would one day walk down the aisle with.
Instead, the royal’s ex-boyfriend Dave Clark has tied the knot to New York advertising exec Lynn Anderson in a beautiful Italian wedding, watched on by celebs such as Ashton Kutcher and model Sara Sampaio.
Beatrice, 29, and businessman Dave had been dating for a decade, before the couple announced their split in 2016.
Reports at the time claimed the royal had issued her boyfriend a proposal ultimatum.
However the ultimatum appeared to backfire when Dave and the daughter of Sarah Ferguson and Prince Andrew decided to call it quits.
While Beatrice has quietly played the field since, Dave wasted little time falling head over heels with Lynn, with the Uber executive reportedly proposing during a romantic trip to Lake Como in May 2017, following a whirlwind six-month romance.
The pair tied the knot at the luxury five-star Apulian resort of Borgo Egnazia, which costs a whopping $235,780 a day to hire out, according to Daily Mail.
Other star attendees include Justin Bieber’s manager Scooter Braun, who shared a snap of the couple during their first dance.
“Congrats to David and Lynn Clark on a beautiful wedding filled with laughter and love and more laughter and some dancing and some donuts,” he captioned the snap.
For Beatrice, it’s no doubt a bittersweet moment, with the wedding focus firmly on her family as well, with little sister Princess Eugenie’s much-anticipated nuptials looming.
While royal protocol dictates royal flower girls take the place of adult bridesmaids, it’s believed Eugenie – who is set to tie the knot with Jack Brooksbank on the 12th of October – will break with tradition and appoint her close sister Beatrice as bridesmaid.
Eugenie sparked talk her sister would be by her side as usual, sharing a throwback snap of the two as young flower girls.
“90s throwback… wedding planning starts,” she revealed.
