Princess Eugenie reveals copycat wedding to Meghan and Harry


Princess Eugenie and Jack Brooksbank will tie the knot at St George’s Chapel in Windsor on 12 October and you’re invited.

Today, the soon-to-be newlyweds announced that 1,200 members of the public will be able to watch guests arrive at the congregation before having the opportunity to tune into a live broadcast of the ceremony.

Those with a golden ticket will also be invited to watch the bride and groom depart the chapel where the Duke and Duchess of Sussex famously wed on 19 May.

In an Instagram post shared by the royal family’s official Instagram account, it was revealed that in order for the chance to attend fans must fill out an application form.

The couple’s announcement mirrors the Duke and Duchess of Sussex’s decision to invite 2,640 members of the public to their wedding.

The newlyweds hand-picked 1,200 young people who had served their communities and shown strong leadership.

While another 200 charity workers and 100 pupils from two local schools also bagged a coveted invite. Remaining tickets were given to 610 Windsor Castle community members as well as 530 members of the royal households and Crown Estate.

It’s also been confirmed by the palace, that following their ceremony, the newlyweds will take a leaf out of Meghan and Harry’s book and embark on a carriage ride from Windsor Castle, along High Street and return to the Castle through Cambridge Gate.

Princess Eugenie and longterm boyfriend Jack Brooksbank may be tying the knot in the same historic location as the Duke and Duchess of Sussex but her position in the royal pecking order means that it’s sure to be a different affair.

In stark comparison, Princess Eugenie is ninth in line to the throne and her fiancé – who is a an accountant and company director – is lesser known than former A-lister, Meghan.

Therefore, the guest list is sure to include fewer famous faces.

Princess Eugenie and Jack Brooksbank’s royal wedding will more informal

Unlike the Duke and Duchess of Sussex’s formal ceremony, Princess Eugenie’s upcoming wedding will be a more relaxed affair.

As a consequence to her position in line to the crown, the 28-year-old is able to enjoy a career and personal life outside of the media spotlight. Who knows, she may even ‘Gram a snapshot of the big day…
