Psychic medium John Edward: 'I don't believe in ghosts'
He’s one of the most sought after mediums out there.
But despite regularly speaking to the other side, John Edward tells Be that he doesn’t believe in what we call ‘ghosts’.
“I don’t believe in ghosts,” he said. “I believe in energy.”
Say whaaat?
Thankfully John had an explanation, explaining ghosts were too often associated with paranormal activity now, so he tends to avoid the term.
“If you say ghost now you’re framing it in a paranormal way,” he explains. “So I like to believe in different energies, some can be stronger, some can be trapped.”
The 48-year-old also shared his views on his often ‘misunderstood’ occupation, explaining what he actually sees when he tries to get in contact with the other side.
“When I’m doing a reading, I will get what they want me to see,” he said.
“When I’m seeing the Grand Canyon, I know they’ll equate the Grand Canyon with grief,” he continued, explaining it’s an analogy for the hole left behind that can never be filled.
“I see symbols and feelings,” he added.
The psychic to the stars also explained that there isn’t a physical other side where someone can go.
“Think of it as dimensional,” the father-of-two said.
“So right now, it’s just this dimension of energy that exists that we can connect with and communicate with, but you can’t go there because of the body.”
“It exists so people can communicate and express their love, so it’s kind of like a spiritual energy that co exists with our world.”
John has traveled all over the globe to read some of the biggest names in Hollywood.
Even Kim Kardashian has him on speed dial and has consulted with him for years after that infamous moment he predicted her marriage to Kris Humphries was over.

“When he started talking about the divorce stuff, that’s why I started to cry, because I honestly feel I can’t do this anymore with Kris,” a sad Kim weeped to her sister Kourtney after her reading back in 2012.
“I feel like I got into this too fast and I don’t want to be married anymore.”
He’s since read Oprah, Dr. Oz, Dr Phil and even the Irwin family.
John will be touring Australia for his national tour in October/November of 2018.
