Queen gets rid of photo of Meghan Markle at the Palace after just one week

It may seem like Meghan Markle and the queen have a close bond, but a recent photo has fans of the pair baffled.

Just last week, the queen was photographed in the Audience Room at Buckingham Palace, talking with the Honorable George Brandis, the Australian High Commissioner to the UK, with a previously unseen photo of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle visible in the background.

However, a new photo of the queen meeting composer Thea Musgrave shows that the photo has now been replaced by a new snap, which is missing the new Duchess of Sussex.

In Meghan Markle’s place is a photo of her new husband, Prince Harry, posing alongside his brother, Prince William.

And while it may seem like a slight dig, it’s actually now ,as the queen is known for moving photographs around Buckingham Palace.

In April, the queen met New Zealand Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern in the same room and there is a completely different picture on the table.

Indeed, there definitely appears to be no bad blood between the queen and Meghan Markle, as the Monarch is bringing the new Duchess of Sussex on her first road trip next week.

Meghan will be getting the full royal treatment, as she will board the lavish train with the queen on Wednesday morning and travel through the night, before arriving in Chester on Thursday morning.

The pair will then unveil the Mersey Gateway Bridge at Catalyst Science Discovery Centre in Widnes, Chesire and open Storyhouse Theatre together, before having lunch at the Town Hall.
