Queen gives Meghan Markle a royal perk Prince Harry hasn't even had before

It seems Meghan Markle has managed to become the Queen’s favourite member of the family, after it was revealed that she’s giving her a royal treat that hasn’t been received by any of the others.

The 36-year-old Duchess of Sussex will make her first solo royal appearance next Thursday alongside none other than the matriarch of the family, the queen.

And it appears the Monarch is just as excited as Meghan for the upcoming trip to Chester, as she’s taking the newlywed on the royal train, something she reportedly hasn’t done for anybody else.

According to sources, not even Kate Middleton, Prince William or Prince Harry have travelled on the train with the Queen before, however it’s believed her grandchildren have taken rides on the train on their own.

Meghan will be getting the full royal treatment, as she will board the lavish train with the queen on Wednesday morning and travel through the night, before arriving in Chester on Thursday morning.

The pair will then unveil the Mersey Gateway Bridge at Catalyst Science Discovery Centre in Widnes, Chesire and open Storyhouse Theatre together, before having lunch at the Town Hall.

Their close bond was seemingly formed after Prince Harry got down on one knee and popped the question to the former Suits actress back in November.

Speaking in their official engagement interview with the BBC, Meghan spoke highly of her fiancé’s grandmother.

“It’s incredible, I think, you know, a) to be able to meet her through his lens, not just with his honour and respect for her as the monarch, but the love that he has for her as his grandmother,” she said.

“All of those layers have been so important for me so that when I met her I had such a deep understanding and of course incredible respect for being able to have that time with her. And we’ve had a really – she’s – she’s an incredible woman.”

Prince Harry then said that the corgis took to Meghan straight away, claiming he’s been trying to get in their good books for 33 years and they’ve just barked at him.

“This one walks in, absolutely nothing”, he said, before Meghan laughed that they were “just laying on my feet during tea, it was very sweet.”
