Rachael Finch reveals she has a cyst on her brain

Model and TV personality Rachel Finch has announced the shocking news that she has a cyst on her brain.

The 30-year-old mum-of-two explained that after struggling to find a treatment to relieve her of constant migraines, it was time she got an MRI scan on her brain to see what was really going on.

But the news wasn’t too good as the scan revealed she had an arachnoid cyst on the lower part of her brain.

“I used to get really bad headaches and migraines every second or third day. It was horrible and I would wake up and just after recovering for a day… boom, I would suffer from another one.” she told Practical Parenting.

Rachel, who is all about her health and fitness, admitted that she saw eight different specialists and tried cutting all sorts of things out of her diet before finally getting a diagnosis.

Thankfully this type of cyst is neither cancerous or dangerous and in her case hasn’t grown which is a good sign.

“I didn’t know this was a common thing and apparently people have cysts all over their body. The cyst is sitting there and we just got the results back from the revised MRI and it’s stayed exactly the same which is great,” she explained.

Now Rachel says she just has to avoid any high-pressure situations that might attribute to pressure on her skull.

While her headaches have now gone away, for the most part, the cause of her migraines still remains a mystery as doctors aren’t convinced that they were due to the cyst.

The news of Rachel’s health scare also comes not long after her daughter Violet, four, underwent surgery to remove a hernia found on her groin.

Luckily the little one’s operation went smoothly and Violet is now fully recovered.
