Dylan Alcott sneaks hip hop lyrics into his live Q&A appearance

The debates on Q&A are some of the most heated and spirited you’ll see on Australian TV.

But Monday night’s episode saw something a little different when world-class tennis player and radio presenter Dylan Alcott managed to covertly drop eight hip hop lyrics during his brief appearance.

A host for Triple J, Dylan was challenged by his listeners to sneak in as many Wu-Tang Clan lyrics as possible while he was on the panel show discussing life with a disability.

The references started before Dylan even began talking as he gave the audience a Wu-Tang wave, holding his hands together in a ‘W’ shape and wiggling his fingers.

He was just as seamless when he started speaking, and described one moment in his life using words from the group’s song C.R.E.A.M.

“I was really embarrassed that I had a disability. It was rough and tough like leather for me,” he said.

Throughout the minute-long segment, he sprinkled variations from other tracks like, Protect Ya Neck, where he slipped in the words, “short arms and deep pockets,” and “you don’t know me and you don’t know my style” from Method Man.

Dylan is a Wu-Tang superfan and has previously performed on stage with rapper Ghostface Killah at the Meredith Music Festival in 2014.

However we feel this Q&A appearance may have just topped that.
