The real reason Kylie Jenner kept her pregnancy secret

It was one of the best kept secrets in showbiz and had the rumour mill running in overdrive for months. Now Kylie Jenner has opened up about her decision to keep her pregnancy a secret.

In a candid interview with Vogue Australia the mum of six-month-old daughter Stormi said she wanted to “enjoy the whole experience” without worrying about outside pressure.

The 21-year-old reality star never confirmed her pregnancy during the nine months and has now revealed her decision to stay out of the limelight was because she felt it would be “better” for her health if she kept the news to herself.

“I knew that it would be better for us, if me and Stormi just stayed kind of low-key,” Kylie said, when asked by her sister Kendall Jenner what her thought process was behind keeping the pregnancy a secret.

“Your hormones are going crazy and your emotions are more heightened, and I just felt like I wasn’t prepared. I just knew that it would be better for me, and I could enjoy the whole experience if I did it privately.

“I just felt like it was a sacred special moment and I wasn’t ready to share it with everybody. I just wanted to keep that to myself.”

Throughout the nine months Kylie did a complete backflip and started to kept a low profile on social media. She was only spotted out and about three times as well, which has her Kardashian sisters joking she was the ‘new’ Rob Kardashian and ‘reclusive’.

It wasn’t until two days after the birth of her daughter Stormi – whom she has with her boyfriend Travis Scott – that she finally confirmed the happy news with her fans.

“I’m sorry for keeping you in the dark through all the assumptions. I understand you’re used to me bringing you along on all my journeys. My pregnancy was one I chose not to do in front of the world,” she wrote on Instagram at the time.

“Pregnancy has been the most beautiful, empowering and life changing experience I’ve had in my entire life and I’m actually going to miss it.”
