Rove McManus and Sam Frost's radio show axed

Rove McManus and Sam Frost will be saying goodbye to their listeners for good, with their last show airing tonight.

“Rove and Sam’s 7-8 pm show on the Hit Network will finish up today, June 30,” a Hit spokesperson said.

“Rove’s remaining within the SCA family and working on a new project with another part of our business. Sam’s contract has now ended and we wish her well with her upcoming TV work."

Sam and Rove's chemistry has never translated to listeners, and their ratings have struggled since they joined the Hit Network in 2016 to host the 2Day FM breakfast show in Sydney.

Sam will be returning to television to appear on Channel Seven’s Hell's Kitchen with celeb chef Marco Pierre White.

The pair only recently said goodbye to their breakfast time slot to move to a night time segment due to poor ratings.

Em Rusciano and Harley Breen have since replaced the pair in the breakfast spot.
