Samantha Markle begs Meghan to mend the family 'rift'

She’s previously called her half-sister, Meghan Markle, the ‘pushy princess’ and claimed she’s a ‘self-obsessed’ social climber but now Samantha Markle wants the Duchess to reach out and mend the rift in their family.

Samantha, who hasn’t spoken to 36-year-old former Suits actress, Meghan, in almost 10 years, appeared on UK chat show Good Morning Britain, where she begged her half-sister to contact their father, Thomas Markle.

The 53-year-old claimed it’s the ‘right thing to do’ amid all the rumours that have been circulating about the Markle family.

“Meghan may perhaps believe rumours and stories that she’s heard and similarly my father I think has also,” Samantha said.

“So I believe it’s created a rift that’s unnecessary and I hope that they can come to terms on their own and that she’ll reach out to him. It only seems the right thing to do.”

When asked if she or her father were trying to contact Meghan in private, Samantha replied saying ‘everybody has’ and that’s why she’s ‘utilising public channels, because private channels have been exhausted’.

Earlier in the interview, Samantha, who was speaking live from Virginia, addressed claims that she’s ‘cashing in’ on her sister’s new status.

“Let’s face it we all have to survive,” she said. “Money makes the world go round.

“So, if you want to call that cashing in that’s fine.”

Samantha’s seemingly calm interview comes just days after she lashed out on Twitter about the feud between her half-sister and her 72-year-old dad.

“How about you pay tribute to your own father?!” Samantha tweeted to her followers.

“Enough is enough. Act like a humanitarian act like a woman! If our father dies I’m holding you responsible, Meg!

“How cold can you be and look in the mirror? Harry? I guess I was right.”

Meghan’s father, Thomas Markle, has also hit the headlines in the past few days, with a source claiming that he actually faked his heart attack back in May.

“The whole story about Meghan’s father undergoing heart surgery was made up,’ the source told the Daily Mail.

According to reports at the time, Thomas was admitted to the Sharp Chula Vista Medical Center, however when contacted by the Daily Mail to hospital said ‘no such name’ had ever checked in.

Apparently he wanted to take the attention off the staged paparazzi photos, which had caused much embarrassment for Meghan.

“He had to come up with a good enough reason not to attend her wedding and avoid any further embarrassment after those staged photos went public,” the source continued.
“Don’t feel sorry for him. If anything, feel sorry for Meghan.”
