Shanina Shaik to make acting debut

Shanina Shaik has already taken the modelling world by storm, and now the 25-year-old has acting in her sights.

The face of Seafolly has been cast in a remake of The Mummy, but despite only landing a small role, Shanina is grateful for the opportunity.

"It’s a small part, a cameo," she tells The Daily Telegraph.

"But I’m just so excited this is my first movie. For five years, I’ve had offers for auditions and acting roles, but I never had the confidence to go ahead. But getting older and more confident, I thought, ‘Why not try it?"

The Aussie beauty is currently filming the reboot of the hugely popularly franchise in Namibia - in-between planning a wedding, that is.

Shanina got engaged to her beau DJ Ruckus, real name Gregory Andrews, late last year following just seven months of dating.

The Victoria's Secret model insists her wedding will be classy and intimate.

She explained: "I think every girl pretty much dreams about what she would like for her wedding day, but I'm also not very traditional. I actually want a small wedding; I don't want a big, poufy dress. I want to be on a beach. I think those things will definitely happen."
