Comedian and TV host Jimmy Kimmel decided to do a simple test on the streets of America, in honour of President Trump’s overseas visits, but the results will truly shock you.
“Donald Trump is overseas visiting Belgium, England, Scotland and then his pal Putin in Russia,” Jimmy said during his talk show.
“It is imperative that America has strong relationships with and knowledge about other nations, and that responsibility extends to all of us.”
The idea was simple – look at a map of the world and name any country.
Literally any country, anywhere in the world. Even your own would have been fine.
But shockingly, the majority of participants couldn’t get one right.
Some were able to point out Africa or Asia, but failed to remember these are in fact continents not countries.
One man then thought South Africa was in the west of Africa, while another woman complained “who knows stuff like that?”
Despite having learnt about the world in school, many couldn’t even point out the US.
Thankfully, a young boy stepped up at the end and gave enough answers for all of them.
The video has since had almost 5 million views on Youtube with many worried about the results.
“This is actually alarming,” was one comment.
“I literally watched this whole video with my jaw dropped. Can’t believe those people couldn’t even name one single country, not even their own,” said another shocked person.
